EGU, the European Geosciences Union, is Europe’s premier geosciences union, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the Earth, planetary, and space sciences for the benefit of humanity, worldwide. The European Geosciences Union (EGU) is the leading organisation for Earth, planetary and space science research in Europe. GeoLog is the Union’s official blog, which is edited by the EGU Communications Officer Hazel Gibson and has a number of contributors. The EGU General Assembly 2021 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. The URSI Board and the Local Organizing Committee are pleased to confirm that the URSI GASS 2021, #URSIGASS2021, will be held in ROME from August 28th to September 4th.
The GASS will be a HYBRID MEETING, with provision for both on-site and online participation and presentations. Valued contributions from online participants will be integrated into the sessions with further details to follow. Although a hybrid event, the Student Paper Competition and the Young Scientists Awards will be organized following the traditions of URSI.
We look forward to meeting colleagues and friends in Rome to enjoy a full social, scientific and business experience, and remotely for fruitful scientific discussions.

The XXXIV General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (GASS) of the International Union of Radio Science (Union Radio Scientifique Internationale-URSI) will be held at Sapienza Faculty of Engineering. The GASS of URSI are held at intervals of three years to review current research trends, present new discoveries and make plans for the future research and special projects in all areas of radio science.
